Educate

August is always dedicated to back-to-school, but this year’s focus is on overcoming barriers due to COVID-19 in order to resume learning in the safest environment possible. For many, this means navigating changes in the way that learning can take place, including a shift to virtual instruction. Build Inclusion’s “virtual” vision for this upcoming school year includes launching new services to help support you and your family on your journey to learning as effectively and accessibly as possible. Services we are planning to offer include virtual IEP development, special education-specific tutoring, vocational training for groups, schools, and individuals in the community via Canvas, and parent and caregiver support groups. Stay tuned for more information and please let us know what else we can do to support you! #BuildInclusion #2020VirtualVision

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

As a Community Rehabilitation Provider (CRP) recognized by the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and by the Office for the Blind, Build Inclusion educates youth preparing for transition into adulthood, aged 14-21, for successful post-secondary outcomes. Ideally that future includes meaningful, competitive and integrated employment, and the possibility of college enrollment.

Community Education

Build Inclusion works with community leaders and advocates to promote intentional inclusion, opportunity and increased access for individuals with disabilities. In addition, we have worked with 8 of the 9 educational cooperatives in Kentucky, delivering the Take Flightâ„¢ curriculum to thousands of students through Transition Fairs across the state.
